96 POINTS, HALLIDAY WINE COMPANION
The classic Australian red blend; a 60/40 split in this particular wine from the H-Block vineyard next to the cellar door. This is a traditional, classically structured and undoubtedly impressive shiraz cabernet with ripe plum, blackberry and mulberry fruits, hints of cedar, fruitcake, vanillin oak, baking spices, tobacco leaf, roast meats and earth. The fruit presence is deep and resonant, with impressive purity, density and flow. It has very fine, silty tannins, bright acidity and a finish that draws out beautifully, fading slowly over time with palate memories of spice and dark fruits - Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion
